After seven salty winters and encounters with boulders, the OEM skid plates underneath Campbell were in sad shape. Not to mention the shenanigans during many oil changes and various wrenchings.

I removed all of the factory armor underneath and replaced it with three-sixteenth-inch stainless steel skid plates from BudBuilt.
We chose the stage-three kit, which includes five plates: front, engine, transmission, transfer case, and gas tank.
All of the expensive and fragile parts underneath are protected much better now. And most importantly, we are less likely to be stranded in a remote place.
The stainless steel bonus is that the plates will not rust after they inevitably get scuffed and scratched.
